Short Skirts, Hieroglyphs & Tassles
Finally a new outfit post! Always exciting because it means I got me some new clothing = happy Milena.
Thanks to Berlin I have a new skirt from Urban Outfitters (surprise surprise), top is also from Urban Outfitters, and vest is from Bershka. Chose not to go for shoes as I'd been outside in the garden all day barefoot anyway, and I prefer it that way!
Oopsie, I must have spotted something in the distance in this next one.

A Wonderful Italian Dinner in Budapest
Anniversaries need to be celebrated right? We dressed up (with what little we have in our backpacks), left the hostel, and walked to a lovely terrace in central Pest where Da Mario's Italian restaurant awaited us. Along the way I met Ronald Reagan!
My skirt is from Urban Outiftters and my top is from Nasty Gal. Both are firm favourites in my very limited collection of travel clothes!
A little bit starstruck? The statue is to commemorate and honour the work Reagan did to help rebuild eastern Europe after the war by the way, and there is a plaque outlining all of this right near the statue.
We shared a starter and chose the parmigiana tiepida, or the oven baked eggplant parmigiana for those amongst us that don't speak Italian. Unfortunately the photos don't do the dish justice at all, but I am still only equipped with an iphone camera. It was utterly delicious though!
For mains I chose the tagliolini with Sicilian pesto sauce. Again, just plain yummy. And the portion wasn't too large, so there was still room for dessert. Winner.
I didn't manage to get a photo of Chewy's main because he started too quickly, but he had the risotto with porcini mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. I am told it was delectable, but I wouldn't know that information first hand because I wasn't allowed to sample a single bite.
I'll end the post with some photos of the inside of the restaurant because I really liked the interiors, especially the bar. If you're in Budapest, pay Da Mario's a visit and you won't be disappointed. The prices are very reasonable, the waitstaff are very attentive (if not overly so at times), and most importantly the food itself is definitely worth a visit.
At the end of dinner we decided to grab an ice cream each and a few ciders and headed back to the hostel, where we saw the night out sitting on the balcony of our third storey appartment. Just lovely!

Floaty Skirts & Cropped Tops
Whilst in Zagreb, I decided to indulge in a little photographic work for the next outfit post. They're a bit few and far between at the moment, as backpacking for 10 months and having lots of nice clothing aren't two things that generally go hand in hand. But anyway, I managed to throw together a very simple little something.
My absolutely favourite skirt at the moment is a floaty number from Urban Outfitters. It's comfy and lovely, and perfect for summer. Thanks to a massive online shopping spree, I found a great little acid wash crop top too, and luckily the two work quite nicely together. The crop top is also from Urban Outfitters, as is my bag. Yes, I have a bit of a love affair going on with Urban Outfitters, but they haven't yet made it to Australia, and you always want what you can't have. My sandals are just a simple pair from H&M, perfect for more or less any occasion. Speaking of H&M, has anyone seen the stunning pictures of Doutzen Kroes in their latest summer campaign? Jaw dropping.
Thankfully Zagreb is full of some beautiful, quiet little corners so here are some photos (a post about Zagreb is currently in the works).
Serious.
Not so serious.

Flintstone Living in Cappadocia, Turkey
If you've ever wondered what it must be like to live on the moon or in an alternate universe, then Cappadocia is the place to be. It's simply surreal. The landscapes are beautiful and weird, and both of us were pretty much speechless. After the awful overnight bus ride to Cappadocia from Antalya, we both passed out in our dorm for most of the day a few hours, and got up in the late afternoon to go and explore the town of Goreme. So here are some photos from our wanderings.
After spending the whole afternoon and evening pretending to be the Flintstones, we ended the day with a delicious feed and of course some apple tea.
Oh and incase you were wondering, my shorts are from H&M, crop t-shirt is from a random, little shop in Langkawi (sorry) and the shirt and my bag are both from Urban Outfitters.
